OREANDA-NEWS. September 21, 2011. It was said by the Agency’s director general Victor Parlicov after the second public hearings at Moldovagaz’s request, regarding the 28.7 percent increase in the average gas fee for final users.

He said he sees the reserves and the Moldovagaz’s solicitation would not be satisfied in full. Victor Parlicov stressed that a part of Moldovagaz’s arguments has a solid basis, including a technical one, but the legal basis is not solid enough. According to him, once the average gas fee is approved, the gas fees for some categories of consumers will also be fixed.

The Moldovagaz’s request to increase the gas fee not by 21.2% as asked earlier, but by 28.76% is determined by the fact that the gas price for the third and fourth quarters happened to be higher than the forecasted level.

At the same time, Victor Parlicov said it is necessary to identify clearly first what losses are technical and what are subjective, commercial ones, that mean gas theft. According to him, until the losses are divided, the Agency may include losses in the volume of 32.8 mln cubic meters into the fee, while earlier Moldovagaz proposed to include losses in the volume of 60-55 mln cubic meters.
