OREANDA-NEWS. September 21, 2011. Belarus’ Economy Ministry has introduced markup caps (for a 90-day period) on the selling price of a few socially sensitive foodstuffs, the ministry’s press-service said in a release.

The price restrictions apply both to Belarusian-produced foods and imported foodstuffs.

The ministry’s list includes beef and pork by-products, poultry by-products, a few kinds of cow milk and cheese, oat cereals, salt, a few sorts of fresh and frozen fish, fresh cucumbers, potatoes, apples, bananas, oranges, lemons and washing detergents.
