OREANDA-NEWS. September 26, 2011. During the working visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev to France, between National Atomic Company Kazatomprom, Bureau of Geological and Mining Research BRGM and Center for European Integrations Strategies (CEIS) has been signed an Agreement on strategic partnership, reported the press-centre of KASE.

The document has been signed on behalf of NAC Kazatomprom - Chairman of the Management Board Vldaimir Shkolnik, BRGM - Director on International Cooperation Jean Claude Giano and President of CEIS Olivier Darrazon.

The agreement was initiated by NAC Kazatomprom under the company policy on extension of scientific knowledge and industrial development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The strategic partnership will become an important phase in research projects development on exploration of natural resources of Kazakhstan.

According to the signed document cooperation of Kazatomprom, BRGM and CEIS will be implemented on six areas:

- geology and metallogeny of rare and rare-earth metals (RM, REM),

- analysis of RM and REM (including uranium),

- development of RM and REM exploration technology,

- development and certification of analytical methods,

- training of staff,

- preparation of preliminary feasibility study on mining projects  and processing.
