OREANDA-NEWS. September 28, 2011. Kyivstar is actively expanding its coverage by broadband Internet network. The new cities connected to the network have become Obukhiv and Stebnyk. From now on 11 thousand more families can get connected to the "Home Internet".

Two more cities have joined the "Kyivstar" broadband Internet network. They are Obukhiv, a city of the Kyiv Oblast, and Stebnyk, a city in the Lviv Oblast. Thus, 11 thousand more families have had an opportunity to get connected to the ultra high-speed Internet from Kyivstar. Now the "Home Internet" network covers 72 cities of Ukraine.

In Obukhiv 62 multi-apartment buildings along such streets as Myra, Kyisvska, Kashtanova, Lermontova and Sosnova have been connected to the network (on the basis of the FTTB technology) по технологии FTTB (fiber to the building).

In the city of Stebnyk the network has been connected to 42 multi-apartment buildings on such streets as Hrushevskoho, Bandery, Kalnyshevskoho, Kulysha, Sichovych Striltsiv, Volodymyra Velykoho, Melnyka, Symonenka I Lesia Kurbasa.

Kyivstar offers to the "Home Internet" clients in Obukhiv and Stebnyk sustained high speed and (comfortable rates) удобные тарифы from 55 UAH per month, combining the advantages of the mobile communications and fixed Internet. By getting connected to any of the rates, the client gets unlimited access to the world wide web. A unique offer "The Internet pays for Mobile Communications" is also in effect: the funds spent on the "Home Internet" can be used for settlement of accounts for mobile communications services.

Obukhiv is a city located 35 kilometers away from Kyiv. Its population is 33 thousand people. It was first mentioned in XII century.

Stebnyk, a city of the Lviv Oblast, was founded in 1596. The city has a rich history. The number of its residents accounts for 23 thousand people.

Overall, Kyivstar provides an opportunity of using the "Home Internet" services to more than 3 million families in 72 cities of Ukraine.
