OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2011. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Omsk region (Omsk OFAS Russia) found that “Gazpromneft” OJSC violated Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

In 2010 “Gazpromneft” OJSC on a regular basis fixed unreasonably high wholesale prices for oil products, without any economic, technological or other justification, for its sales unit in the Omsk region - “Gazpromneft Omsk” OJSC – in comparison with wholesale prices fixed for the sales units in other regions where all products produced at “Gazpromneft – Omsk Reginery” OJSC are supplied.

Omsk OFAS Russia issued a determination to “Gazpromneft” OJSC to stop the antimonopoly violation.

“Prices for supplying the products of “Gazpromneft ” OJSC to the Omsk region considerably exceeded prices for supplying oil products to other regions: Novosibirsk, Altai, Tyumen, although there were no objective reasons for this” explained the Head of Omsk OFAS Russia, Sergey Sumenkov.
