OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2011. CJSC " Azerbaijani Railways" (ADY) has hosted the meeting with the World Bank’s mission aiming at review of Rail Trade and Transport Facilitation joint Project.

CJSC reports that at the meeting ADY Deputy Chairman Gurban Nazirov noted importance of work conducted for safety provision of transit cargo delivery to the addressee whose volume is expected to be increased. He also noted that under State Program on Rail System Development for 2010-14 work is being carried out on updating wagons and locomotives, capital repair of roads , electricity, signaling, communication, transition from direct to alternating current in Baku-Boyuk Kesik direction and so on. In particular, 8.5 km of 317 km Baku-Boyuk Kesik distance have already passed capital repair since July. G. Nazirov reported that it is planned to introduce new accounting reporting on the basis of International Finance Reporting Standards (IFRS), creation of CJSC potential on prevention of oil leakage, conduction of International audit project for 2010 and international ADY audit following 2011.
