OREANDA-NEWS. September 30, 2011. Concern Galnaftogaz prepared a report on progress (Non-financial report), in which Company’s social programs and initiatives implemented during 2010 are represented. It is already third such document prepared within the framework of our support for the United Nations Global Compact. Particularly report touches on the questions of Company’s respect for human rights, providing high standards and labour norms, activity in the field of social investment, environmental protection and struggle against corruption.

"Global Compact principles, are, in my opinion, the criterion of social maturity for Ukrainian companies, – Concern Galnaftogaz CEO Vitaliy Antonov says in a declaration of support for the Global Compact principles. – They are irrefutable rules of business behavior, our stimulus to more new quality changes. For four years passed since our Company signed the Global Compact, many changes took place, particularly in our Company. We became more structured, system-based in approach toward our social initiatives. At the same time, success and requirement of our social initiatives inspire us to take following steps".

We should remind that Concern Galnaftogaz is one of the active implementors of own social programmes. Two years in a row Galnaftogaz has been given awards for realization of own social projects: in 2009 jury of First All-Ukrainian Competition of CSR business cases (competition organizer was Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Development Center) recognized Concern’s Green office programme as the best among the programmes realized by Ukrainian companies in the realm of environmental protection.

Last year 2010 our Company got a special award for implementation of own Accessibility programme at OKKO filling complexes (accessibility of our filling complexes for people with special necessities) on the second National Competition of CSR business cases.
