OREANDA-NEWS. October 6, 2011. Installation of the casting assembly of the next generation has been started at Bezhitsa Steel Foundry (Bryansk, a part of CJSC Transmashholding).

The main profile of BSZ is the manufacturing of metal cast products, used in rolling stock production (bogie parts, couplers and etc.). BSZ plans to increase production volumes up to 2,5 times, create additional employment, reinforce its position on the railway casting market as the result of foundry modernization.

In the framework of technical upgrade program execution, 3 electric furnaces DPS -15 with a capacity of 15 tons are installed and automation and facility systems, kneading-and-mixing and forming machinery, automatic core shooters are assembled at the enterprise.

The modern automatic molding line  ”Konkel-Wagner” with a capacity of 23 moulds per hour will allow to increase cast products accuracy class, stabilize the quality of the moulds and cast products manufacturing and eliminate hand labour.

The control of the lineunits assembly is provided by the representatives of the suppliers, German companies “Konkel-Wagner” and “Laempe”. The technology, which will be applied at the casting area, will facilitate the production of metal with a higher quality, providing at the same time necessary impact and mechanical properties, particularly, in provision of impact resistance at the subzero temperatures.

In accordance with the Technical Upgrade Program, 3 billion 800 million RUR haму been already invested in the BSZ modernization.
