OREANDA-NEWS. October 7, 2011. Entrepreneur Eike Batista’s EBX Group will be taking part in the OTC Brazil event with three of the group’s companies: OGX (oil and gas), OSX (shipbuilding and offshore services) and LLX (logistics). The three together will occupy the largest stand at the event, which is considered to be the most important event in the oil and gas industry calendar and is taking place in Brazil, at the Riocentro, for the first time.

With 300 m2 of floor area, the stand was designed to emphasize the synergy between the companies and will have innovative and technological attractions on show. Among the novelties is a semi-spherical multimedia screen, which will show images of OGX activities, and mockups of the Acu Superport and the NCU Acu, new developments that are under construction in Sao Joao da Barra (RJ). OSX will also present a model of the FPSO (floating oil and gas production, storage and offloading unit), the OSX-1 – arriving soon in Rio de Janeiro – with interactive holographs, which will show a timeline presenting the history of oil, how it is processed, technical data and other information about the FPSO. At the same time, LLX, which is responsible for the largest investment in port infrastructure in the Americas, will also be showing an interactive tabletop projection with detailed information about the Acu Superport, including its strategic location for the production of oil and gas.

The main executives of the companies will also be there. On the 5th at 3pm there will be a press conference with the directors of OSX. On the 6th, the General Manager and Exploration Officer for OGX, Paulo Mendonca, will meet the press at the OGX stand, at 10:30 am, and at 12:15pm will give a talk at the event. The executive will highlight the company's trajectory, having drilled 60 wells with a success rate of 90% in just two years.

OGX, responsible for the largest exploratory campaign in Brazil, will also sponsor the OTC cybercafe and will have its hotsite on the home screens of the computers at the site. This tool, which will be released at the event, will highlight the start of the company’s production at Waimea, in the Campos Basin.
