OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2011. Wisco has made the first round of industrial pilot production for 440MPa high strength IF steel which is independently developed by Wisco. The trial-produced steel meets standard requirements with all performance indexes, further expanding the catalogue of Wisco auto steel, reported the press-centre of Wisco.

440MPa high strength IF steel is the highest strength IF steel used in automobile body at present. Possessing not only well deep drawing performance, but also outstanding anti-corrosion property for hot galvanizing product, it is mainly used in stamping structure parts demanding both high fabrication strength and complicated appearance.

The project team designed chemical composition and production process for trial steel through independent R&D, and completed first round of trial production within only two months under the support and cooperation of relevant units. Currently, Wisco owns ability to make batch production for IF cold rolling uncoated sheet and hot galvanizing sheet, meaning significantly for Wisco to enlarge high-end auto steel capability and boost its products competitiveness.
