OREANDA-NEWS. October 12, 2011. On the occassion of the state visit of President Truong Tan Sang’s to the Republic of India, Jet Airways and Vietnam Airlines have signed a MOU on their Strategic Cooperation which comprehensively cover the areas of Commercial, Services, Technical, and Training. This agreement was signed in the presence of H.E. Mr Truong Tan Sang, Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) President Mr Muthuraman, members of the Vietnamese delegation and Captains of the Indian industry.

Witnessing the signing ceremony, H.E. the President of Vietnam Mr Truong Tan Sang appreciated the warmth between the two airlines and believes that this will be translated into a fruitful cooperation between the two airlines. H.E. the President also stressed that the development of the relationship between the two countries needs such partnerships.

Subject to approval of respective governments, Jet Airways and Vietnam Airlines will jointly evaluate and implement services between India and Vietnam. This direct flight partnership between the leading airlines of Vietnam and India shall greatly contribute to the development of tourism, as well as boosting the investment and trade relations between the two countries.

Mr Naresh Goyal, Chairman of Jet Airways stressed: “This agreement with Vietnam Airlines is an integral part of our strategy for increased international growth and providing seamless service for travelers between India and Vietnam.
