In September Estonian Air carried altogether 71,014 passengers in Tallinn, which is 33% more y-o-y, reaching the highest growth in terms of passenger numbers this year. Estonian Air carried 59,166 passengers on regular flights in Tallinn, which is 23% more y-o-y, reported the press-centre of Estonian Air.

In the first nine months of 2011, Estonian Air carried altogether 517,926 passengers (including all airports), 401,240 of these on regular flights. The total number of passengers increased 17.5% y-o-y, on regular flights 15%.Estonian Air carried 463,294 passengers in the first nine months in Tallinn, which is 12% more y-o-y.

“We are pleased to see that in September our passenger volumes had the highest growth this year,“ said Rauno Parras, Estonian Air Commercial Vice President.

„Estonian Air has actively rolling out new initiatives being proposed by customers through "My Estonian Air" platform. In September Estonian Air opened a new route between Tallinn and Trondheim, which has been performed better than we expected, and revamped the pricing structure with more attractive fares, which also shifted the demand from other carriers to us,” added Parras.

Estonian Air operated 8,762 flights in the first nine months, which is 9.6% more flights y-o-y. In September 1,147 flights were operated, which is 10% more flights y-o-y.

Estonian Air is among most punctual carriers in the world. The regularity of Estonian Air flights in the first nine months was 99.1%, which is 2.8 percentage points higher y-o-y. The 15-minute punctuality was 90.9%, which is 4 percentage points higher y-o-y. In September the regularity and the punctuality were 98.2% and 90% respectively.
