OREANDA-NEWS. October 13, 2011. On October 10 Expocentre opened the 16th International Exhibition for Machinery, Equipment and Ingredients for the Food Processing Industry – Agroprodmash’2011. This event included a press conference with participation of representatives of the branch ministries, associations, unions and leading industry professionals.

This year, the main exhibition of the Russian agriculture industry – Agroprodmash’2011 – has brought together to Expocentre over 700 leading companies from 35 countries. As before, the show is run with the official support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Moscow City Government.

The Agroprodmash’2011 business-related program speaks for the professional community’s interest in the exhibition, as Deputy Director General of Expocentre Mikhail P. Tolkachev noted. On the first day of the exhibition the 6th International Technologic Forum devoted to innovative technologies and equipment in the dairy industry was open. The business-related program will go on with the representative Meat Congress, seminars, presentations, contests and other events.

Describing condition of the Russian agriculture industry and its development prospects, the Department of the Food and Processing Industry and the Quality of Products of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture Sergey N. Seryogin emphasized that technological infrastructure of food and processing industry enterprises was a key factor for manufacturing competitive production.

The Agroprodmash’2011 show displays a wide range of latest technical and technological developments for dairy, meat, baking, grain processing and other main industries, and also equipment for by-product productions, means providing safety and transportation of the production. The exhibition is increasingly concentrating on new food technologies. The Ingredients section is increasing year by year. Salon of packing equipment and materials is another dynamically developing section of the exhibition.

The current agrarian and industrial complex production assortment is so wide that no country of the world can meet its internal requirements for food and processing equipment by its own forces. Russia produces no more than 10 % of necessary technics and equipment for the agrarian and industrial complex, all the rest is covered by import. Reflecting this interrelation, the Agroprodmash show allows estimating global tendencies of development of mechanical engineering for the food and process industry.

This year Germany and France participate in the exhibition with their national displays. Participation of German manufacturers in Agroprodmash’2011 is organized by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology of Germany. The Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology representative Mr. Frits Johannes spoke about purposes, problems and features of organization of the German national display which participants showcased innovative installations and machinery, first of all, for meat processing.

Agroprodmash’2011 enjoys participation of over 400 Russian companies and organizations with many of them displaying quite interesting developments. The exhibition allows uniting interests of the agrarian and industrial complex industry, all players of the market – science and manufacture, manufacturers of different types of equipment, ingredients, transportation workers, packers etc.
