OREANDA-NEWS. October 13, 2011. Renaissance Capital, the leading emerging markets investment bank, has hired John Hyman as Co-Head of Investment Banking and Financing (IBF), based in Moscow.

Hyman will work alongside Andrew Cornthwaite, Co-Head of IBF and Deputy CEO of Renaissance Capital. Hyman is a 16-year veteran of Morgan Stanley, where he was Co-Head of Global Capital Markets. Most recently, he was a partner at a major London hedge fund. Hyman and Cornthwaite will drive Renaissance Capital’s IBF business across its key regions of Russia, the CIS, Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), Asia and Africa.

Hyman’s appointment follows a number of recent senior hires at Renaissance Capital, including Yvonne Ike as CEO of West Africa; Soroosh Shambayati as Global Co-Head of Markets; Ateev Chadda as Head of India Coverage for IBF; Richard Lumelleau as Head of Equity Sales, North America, for RenCap Securities, Inc.; Jonathan Segal as Global Head of Debt Capital Markets; James Etherington as Head of UK Equity Capital Markets; Bogdan Ciobotaru as Head of CEEMEA Financing; Saydam Salaheddin as Managing Director; and Anton Cherny as Head of IBF Business Development.
