OREANDA-NEWS. October 17, 2011. The delegation of JSCo Russian Railways visited KAMAZ, and also OOO RariTEK – a service center and distributor of KAMAZ producing vehicles with gas engines.

It should be recalled that Vladimir Yakunin, President of JSCo RZD, and Sergey Kogogin, Director General of KAMAZ, signed a cooperation agreement in Nizhnekamsk a year ago. Railwaymen actively use various types of equipment on KAMAZ chassis for track works. The signed agreement was the first step to organize professional and competent service of such vehicles. The agreement implies the conclusion of contracts between JSCo RZD and service centers of KAMAZ to carry out maintenance, repair and complete overhaul.

The guests saw the model range of gas-powered KAMAZ trucks and NEFAZ buses. The railroaders were interested in the issues of maintenance, operation, and three advantages of CNG vehicles – efficiency, environmental friendliness and safety.

During the visit, the guests were shown various systems, components and equipment, with which KAMAZ vehicles are equipped against a customer’s order. In addition, they saw a LINCOLN centralized lubrication system, tools for maintenance of bottle-gas driven vehicles, got acquainted with vehicle improvements for arctic service and complete overhaul of vehicles. The representatives of RZD became interested in the mobile service center for vehicles maintenance and an NGV-refueling compressor station BI 100. Its operation can reduce the cost of methane as a fuel by 2.5 times.
