OREANDA-NEWS. October 24, 2011. Belarus has suggested holding a presentation of the opportunities of the single economic space (SES) in the world’s leading capitals, Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich said at the meeting of the heads of government of the Customs Union member states.

According to the Belarusian Premier, the Customs Union and the single economic space will become new centers of gravity of the global economy. The single economic space might become a stability zone amidst the global economic uncertainty. “In our opinion, the presentation of the SES in the world’s leading capitals is relevant but demanding,” he said. He added that the necessary mechanisms can be offered by the Customs Union Commission.

“We need to develop the institutional part of the union, create a rating agency and an advisory board for investments. Business should get objective and non-partisan information,” Mikhail Myasnikovich said.

According to the Premier, the single economic space needs to ramp up the establishment of joint transnational corporations, first of all, in the field of high technology.
