OREANDA-NEWS. October 24, 2011. Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed a directive on the ascension of Russia to the Nuclear Energy Agency of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD/NEA).

A proposal to join the OECD/NEA came from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Rostechnadzor and ROSATOM, which will represent Russia in the Agency.

The MFA was directed to notify the OECD/NEA on the intention of Russia to join the Agency and the Ministry of Finance of Russia was tasked to allocate money for a membership fees when formulating the budget for the corresponding years.
