OREANDA-NEWS. October 25, 2011. The presentation of the Container Terminal of Fourth Stevedoring Company took place in the Greater Port of Saint-Petersburg.

Deputy Minister of Transport of RF Viktor Olerskiy, Head of the Committee on Transport and Transit Policy of Saint-Petersburg Alexey Bakirei and the General Director of the managing company UCL Holding Oleg Bukin took part in this ceremony.

During official ceremony Viktor Olerskiy gave a command for discharge of the first vessel in accordance with the new process scheme of operation of the check-point cross the State Border of Russian Federation.

Then guests participated in excursion along the facility, during which the process of handling of containers was shown.

New process scheme of operation of the check-point cross State Border of RF was put into operation in order to achieve the terminal project capacity and increase the competitive ability of the Russian ports.
Reconstruction of the Container Terminal on the territory of Fourth Stevedoring Company where former capacities for handling of general cargoes were located started in 2009. Within the period from 2009 to 2010 new technological equipment was delivered and put into operation.
For financing of the construction of the first stage of the Container Terminal of 4SC agreement on opening of the credit line with the limit of 1.8 bln. rubles was awarded with North-Western bank JSC “Sberbank of Russia”.
Annual capacity of the Container Terminal of 4SC amounts to 500 000 TEUs. All kind of export and import containers, including reefer containers are accepted for handling.
Terminal is equipped by 4 ship-to-shore (STS), 10 rubber-tyred gantry cranes (RTG), lift-trucks with the lifting capacity from 3 tons and by other technological equipment. Terminal area amounts to 32 Ha, storage capacity is 14 thousand TEUs.
Container terminal has 2 railway tracks for handling of container trains. Useful length of each track amounts to 469 m, total length of each track – 700 m. Containers are delivered by railway transport via station “Avtovo”.
Terminal works with the following lines: Team Lines, APL, Sea Connect, Unifeeder, Maersk, MSC, Delta Shipping Lines.
