OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2011. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated a case against the Federal Service for Supervision in of Health Care and Social Development (Roszdravnadzor) upon the signs of violating Part 1 Article 15 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

FAS established that Roszdravnadzor restricted competition on the market of medicines with “Meropenem” International Non-Patented Name. On 9th March 2005 and 4th February 2010, Roszdravnadzor issued registration certificates for “Meronem” drugs that unreasonably contain pharmaceutical form “lyophizate for preparing solution for intravenous injections”. The instruction for medical application of this drug did not have information about by-side effects in cardio-vascular system.

The case is scheduled on 16th November 2011.
