OREANDA-NEWS. November 8, 2011. A round-table conference “Investing in modernization and protecting shareholder value” organized by Federal Grid and dedicated to the challenges of the modern power industry was held today at Bloomberg international agency in London.

The event, contributing to the dialogue between energy companies, equipment manufacturers and investors, gathered the representatives of ENEL, Fortum, National Grid, Toshiba, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Electric, Siemens and ABB, Morgan Stanley, VTB Capital, Renaissance Capital, Macquarie. Federal Grid’s Chairman of the board of directors Ernesto Ferlenghi chaired the roundtable.

During the conference the participants exchanged views on the priorities and strategic targets the grid companies are facing, expectations of the shareholders, investors and experts as to further RAB development in Russia. The parties also discussed how the modernization of the grid impacts investment opportunities and how to ensure fast-growing innovative development for the energy companies through investing.
