OREANDA-NEWS. November 08, 2011. The 2011 staff reduction in central executive bodies has enabled to reduce the cost of administration staff remuneration by 1 billion UAH, forwarding this amount to raising social security level for public sector employees.

This has been reflected in figures of draft State Budget of Ukraine for 2012 submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

It is a reminder that, as central executive bodies’ system has been optimized, the number of government authorities has been reduced from 104 down to 74.

Also, the staff number of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has been reduced by 50% down to 592, and ceiling staff number has been established exclusively for central executive bodies equaling to 21.2 thousand, including 15.6 thousand for civil servants.

In total, as a result of completing the Administrative Reform First Stage relating to the sole reform of the central executive bodies’ system, civil servants number in central executive bodies’ headquarters has been totally reduced by 3.3 thousand, or by 17.3 percent.
