OREANDA-NEWS. November 10, 2011. Russian Telecom Equipment Company (RTEC) took part in the Baikal Economic Forum (BEF) which was held in the city of Irkutsk. The main subject of the forum was the government policy of developing the Baikal Region and the entire Russian Far East, as well as the opportunities of integration and cooperation with Asian-Pacific countries. In particular, the forum discussed key isues of telecom industry development.

The forum included an exhibition of innovative projects supported by State Corporation “Rostechnologii”, Skolkovo Fund, RUSAL, etc. At the forum, RTEC presented its activities at the general exposition of “Rostechnologii” at JSC “Ruselectronics” exhibition booth. The “Ruselectronics” booth was visited by Sergei Chemezov, CEO, “Rostechnologii”, and by top official of Irkutsk regional government headed by Governor Dmitry Mezentsev.

The Baikal Economic Forum is one of the largest business forums in Russia. It is usually attended by key figures of the Russian government, best representatives of local business, and foreign guests. The forum is organized by the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, and the Administration of the Irkutsk Region.
