OREANDA-NEWS. November 11, 2011. The Ukrainian gas transportation system is the most economical and efficient way of transportation of the Russian gas to the European customers. This were stated by the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine, Dr. Hans - Jurgen Heimsoeth during the solemn ceremony of signing an agreement between SC "Ukrgazvydobuvannya" and Chemieanlagenbau Chemnitz GmbH (Germany) on the construction of setting of the  isomerization of light gasoline in the Shebelynka Gas Processing Plant which has taken place in the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry.

Estimating potential Ukrainian of Ukrainian GTS, Yuriy Boyko, in particular, has noted that the national interests of Ukraine responsible a position when its gas-transport system is fully loaded.
"We show all - European partners and Russian colleagues reliability of our gas transportation system, its potential and economic attractiveness. Therefore, we defend our position that our GTS - is the most profitable direction of transit of the Russian gas to Europe," the Minister has underlined.

Speaking about the prospects of the Ukrainian route of transportation of gas after commissioning of the "Nord Stream", the German Ambassador has noted that the Ukrainian route continues to remain henceforth an important route for transportation of gas from Russia to the European countries.

"We know that the gas transportation system of Ukraine remains the major transport way for the Russian gas to Europe. The modernization of this GTS is the most economical and most effective way to save this important thread of gas supply from Russia to Europe," the Ambassador of Germany noted.

Dr. Hans - Jurgen Heimsoeth has also noted that the German companies are interested in participating in the modernization of Ukrainian GTS.

"Now, Ukraine is working on the modernization of this gas transportation system. The German companies show great interest in participating in its modernization," he said.
