OREANDA-NEWS. November 14, 2011. On the occasion of Children's Day, Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, today invited its young guests between 12 to 21 years for an educational excursion at its flight simulator. JetSpark is a unique initiative by the airline to connect with and build long-term relationships with its young guests between the age group of 2 – 21 years. Through this dedicated forum, Jet Airways plans to engage its young guests through exclusive events, offers and customised promotions to ensure that the airline emerges as the definitive choice for these future flyers.

At a half-day event held in Mumbai, the young JetPrivilege members were taken to the airline's Flight Simulator where they were instructed on how pilots fly an aircraft. The youngsters also got an opportunity to 'fly' the state of art Boeing 777 and Airbus 330 'aircraft' under expert supervision and guidance of experienced Jet Airways pilots.

We expect such fun filled entertaining educational exercises to encourage young guests to further explore the fascinating world of aviation."

The young guests participated in quiz contests and interacted with Jet Airways Flight Engineers, Pilots and In-flight Crew. They also observed videos of assembling of aircraft, besides different types of take offs and landings of various types of planes.

The young guests were selected from a large database of JetPrivilege members.

"There's an entire forest waiting to help you live your own 'Jungle Book', the Taj Safaris way!" JetSpark in collaboration with Taj Safaris came up with package to explore India's Tiger Trails which includes seasoned naturalists escorting guests on the ultimate interpretive 4x4 safari at any of the four unique and luxurious lodges - Mahua Kothi in Bandavgarh National Park, Baghvan in Pench National Park, Banjaar Tola at Kanha National Park and Pashan Garh in Panna National Park.

Jet Airways also conducted an essay competition 'My dream destination' and 3 winners from 3 age-groups were given F&B Vouchers courtesy Taj Hotels. Special gifts from Taj Safaris, Penguin Books India, Lindt Chocolates, Orangina and Qua were handed over to young guests. Refreshments were courtesy Oberoi Flight Services.
