OREANDA-NEWS. November 14, 2011. Truck production (including chassis-cabs and light trucks) in Russia rose 45.3% year on year to 147.6 thousand units in January-September 2011, according to ASM Holding analysts’ data. Out of the total production figure, domestic truck output was 130.1 thousand units (up 42.0%), and foreign-brand truck output was 17.5 thousand units (up 76.7%).

Truck sales were up 64.5% on the year to 226.2 thousand units in January-September 2011. Domestic truck sales rose 32.2% to 110.4 thousand units. Locally assembled foreign-brand trucks added 76.1% sales to reach 15.7 thousand units. The fastest growing segment was new-truck imports, which rose by 2.4 times to 88.6 thousand vehicles. Sales of imported used trucks rose by 1.4 times to 11.5 thousand units.
