OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2011. The museum of Nazarovo GRES (State District Power Station) was solemnly opened on November 3, 2011, representatives of OJSC “Yenisei TGC (TGC-13)” executive apparatus, city administration, workers and veterans of the station, members of Krasnoyarsk and Nazarovo mass media were invited there.

Honorary right to open the museum and cut the symbolic red ribbon was granted to Tamara Mikhailova, CFO of OJSC “Yenisei TGC (TGC-13)”, Sergey Setov, head of Nazarovo, and Vitaly Palkin, director of Nazarovo GRES.

Speaking about history of the creation of the museum, GRES director Vitaly Palkin expressed gratitude to veterans and workers of the station, administration of the City Archives and Museum Exhibition Complex in Nazarovo. Their help in collecting materials and exhibits for the museum has become valuable support for the creation of the GRES museum. Due to hard and laborious work the museum has collected thousands of documents, photos and exhibits that discover history of the first stages of the station construction and development, lives of people contributed to nascence of the energy giant in Siberia.

Opening of the museum became a dramatic event both for the city of Nazarovo and the station. All the participants were satisfied with the results of joint efforts. Those who took part in collection of materials and arrangement of the exposition contributed most to the creation of the museum. A large group of enthusiasts including Ilya Larionov, Yelena Kovaleva, Tatyana Sugrobova, Gavriil Yakovlev, Konstantin Limansky, Sergey Podobedov, Gennady Sidorenko worked under supervision of Yelena Semeniuk, deputy director of the station.

Now the museum is going to become available for all those who wish to visit it, it will also help guests and future workers of the station to understand more deeply what Nazarovo GRES is like, to learn about people who built the powerplant facilities and used them during the break-in period.
