OREANDA-NEWS. November 21, 2011. STARNET company appealed against the decision of the Coordinative Board on television and broadcasting about the withdrawal of the retranslating license. The relevant decision of the CDTB can not be implemented until the court passes the judgment. The STARNet ohas pointed out that until the ultimate and indefeasible decision is taken, the CDTB has no rithgts to undertake whatever steps and go beyond legal limits. STARNET also expressed its astonishment and concern on recent statements of the chairman of CDTB Marian Pocaznoi.

He announced that the Board he heads required for law machinery and other state bodies to bar the companies activity, ‘depriving 60,000 of families of the company clients from the Internet, TV and phone services.” It is pointed out in the company, that these actions are illicit and baseless, taking into account that the STARNET company expressed its protest on the decision about the withdrawal of the retranslating license from them and undertake relevant measures within the legal frameworks”. The decision of CDTB to withdraw the retranslating license from STARNET came into effect.

The decision was taken in connection with illicit retranslation of 110 TV channels in networks of TV Box. Later, the chairman of CDTB Marian Pokaznoi said, that despite the withdrawal, the company continues rendering this services in connection with which the CDTB sent inquiries to the legal machinery to provide the implementation of the law.
