Chemie Uzbekistan 2011, the Fifth Central Asian International Exhibition and Plastex Uzbekistan 2011, the Second International Exhibition opened at Uzexpocentre in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The exhibitions demonstrate contribution of chemistry and polymer industries in progressive development of various industries.

The organisers of the events are the International Exhibition Company - ITE Uzbekistan, a member of UFI, and its partner, the British Exhibition Company - ITE Exhibitions & Conferences Ltd.

Deputy chairperson of Uzkimyosanoat state joint stock company said that exhibitions – Chemie Uzbekistan 2011 and Plastex Uzbekistan 2011 – presented modern products of chemical industry and polymers, organization of which is important for Uzbekistan.

ITE Uzbekistan director-general Nigora Hasanova said the purpose of the events is concordant with the motto of the International Year of Chemistry – “Chemistry is our life, our future”. The Exhibitions will be the main venue for the information exchange to facilitate dissemination of new high-tech solutions in chemistry and polymers required to modernize the national economy.

Every year, the International Exhibition Chemie Uzbekistan, as well as the related Exhibition Plastex Uzbekistan are the main platform for promoting to the Uzbek market of high-performance equipment and advanced technologies required for industrial upgrading and strengthening of export position of the industry.

More than 35 companies are participating in the Exhibitors. The participating countries include: Austria, Germany, Italy, India, China, Poland, Russia, and Uzbekistan. Representation of the domestic companies accounts for 45% of the exposition, and 55% is the foreign participants.

Traditionally, the State Joint Stock Company Uzkimyosanoat has a central stand in the Exhibition Hall, where innovation developments, innovative projects under development and the products developed over the past year will be exhibited by the 12 enterprises of the company.

The achievements of the domestic industry will also be presented on the stand of Shurtan Gas and Chemical Complex, which is among the regular Exhibition participants.

The debutants of Chemie Uzbekistan include: ASIAN DIAMOND CLASSIC (Uzbekistan) - for the first time the company will exhibit a range of household chemicals; KORTING AND EXPORT SERVICE (Germany-Russia) - a company with a 130-year history will exhibit ejectors and vacuum technologies; NETZSCH FAYNMALTEHNIK (Germany-Russia) – a producer of equipment for liquid and dry grinding and mixing; SGL PROCESS TECHNOLOGY (Russia) – a producer of chemical equipment used in metallurgy, petrochemicals, and pharmaceuticals; ENTEHMASH (Russia) - power equipment for petrochemical industry, polymer chemistry and agro-chemistry.

The stands of Plastex Uzbekistan will widely demonstrate ancillary equipment, components, forms, matrices, and machines for blow molding and injection molding, as well as equipment for pre-processing and recycling, preparatory machines and machinery for waste plastics, molds, welding equipment, injection molding machines and equipment, extruders and extrusion machines, extrusion lines and raw materials for plastics production and services.

The following companies are among the Exhibition debutants: BAUSANO & FIGLI SPA (Italy) – a manufacturer of extruders for PVC processing; COPERION GMBH (Germany) – a global leader in technologies for extruders and extrusion; STARLINGER & CO GESELLSCHAFT MBH (Austria) – a manufacturer and supplier of complete range of equipment and technologies for production of woven plastic bags, LOHIA STARLINGER (India) – a supplier of a complete range of machines for packaging industry from a synthetic textile fabric. For the first time, a group of Taiwanese companies will participate: HEMINGSTONE MACHINERY – turn-key production equipment for manufacturing of plastic bags; KUNG HSING PLASTIC MACHINERY - design and manufacture of extrusion equipment; HCI CONVERTING EQUIPMENT - machinery and equipment for packaging; and many others.

Domestic newcomers will present their innovative products: MEZON PLAST - production of polypropylene bags; NIGMATJON-RIN - plastic products; OYBEK OTCHOPAR PLASTIK - PET capsules and polyethylene products.

The organisers believe that the Exhibitions Chemie Uzbekistan 2011 and Plastex Uzbekistan 2011 will make a significant impact on the industry, strengthen partnerships between the national producers and foreign companies. In turn, the industry experts will appreciate the modern trends in the chemical industry and polymer markets.

The chemical industry of Uzbekistan is experiencing a rapid growth; the industry has got a new round of its development through increase in output of new products. Today, the chemical industry is a major supplier of raw and various materials and products for almost all industries. This can be seen at the example of the State Joint Stock Company Uzkimyosanoat.

In particular, the industrial enterprises of Uzbekistan have established production of magnesium sulphate, phosphor-carbamide, potassium nitrate, potassium fertilizers and plastic connector systems for pipes of up to 630 millimetres in diameter. Quality and competitiveness of the enterprises being promoted from year to year contribute to increasing in demand at domestic and foreign markets, and strengthening the position of Uzbekistan on the international chemical market. The second phase of capacity addition of Dehkanabad Potash Fertilizer Plant is scheduled for 2011-2013. Its production capacity will be brought up from 200 to 600 thousand tons.
