OREANDA-NEWS. November 22, 2011. In pursuance of the Order of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, the State Inspectorate on the Consumers Rights Protection has conducted laboratory tests of the quality of meat and dairy products that customers receive.

As the Head of the State Inspectorate on the Consumers Rights Protection Sergiy Orekhov has reported at a briefing, by results of laboratory investigations is revealed that meat goods which has been selected for expertise carrying out (and it is some types of boiled sausage of the superior grade), does not correspond to state standards.

"After laboratory tests, in all cases there is detected the non-compliance to standards, in particular revealed the contents of dyes, soybean, exceeded the level of moisture. In our case, we can say that this is consumer fraud," the Chairman of the State Inspectorate has underlined, having added that materials of checks would be also forwarded to the law enforcement bodies.

According to Sergiy Orekhov, weakening of control over product quality in the domestic consumer market and was due to lack of government funding to carry out laboratory research on product quality. He has reported that in October of the running year, for the first time in recent years, 1.7 million UAH is provided to the laboratory testes from the state budget, and it is provided 24 million UAH in the state budget of 2012, that, as he said, would allow the State Inspectorate on the Consumers Rights Protection to intensify efforts on protection of the rights of customers, performing the control of the market and identifying unscrupulous manufacturers.

"Today, from the sides of the Government and the President, much work is conducting that the market was entirely controlled by the quality of products, which goes to market for our customers, meet the standards," Sergiy Orekhov has commented on the governmental decisions.

In addition, he said, the State Inspectorate on the Consumers Rights Protection has developed a program that by the end of the month work begins: "All offenders, ranging from producers and up to implement it, will be "posted" on our web site - a sort of "black list" that consumers know, see of unscrupulous manufacturers and distributors, including."
