OREANDA-NEWS. November 22, 2011. Coke producers in Shanxi have wielded a new round of production cuts in order to prevent further price slides.

Most of the producers are expected to unanimously operate at half of their normal capacity, except those catering to public utilities.

A number of producers in Shanxi, Inner Mongolia and Hebei took measures to restrict production last month. Both the prices and sales volume of coking coal are on the rise during the winter heating season. This trend would persist in the coming months.
