OREANDA-NEWS. November 25, 2011. Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov visited the Odessa port and became familiar with the basic characteristics and capabilities of the passenger port complex.

Passenger complex of the Odessa port is Ukraine's only complex which is capable to receive cruise ships up to 330 m. The terminal has a developed infrastructure: Naval Station, concert and exhibition hall, 4-star hotel "Odessa", Maritime gallery, yachting complex, parking for 300 cars. There is Church of St. Mykola on its territory.

Naval Station can serve up to 4 million passengers per year.

Passenger terminal area is 28 thousand 940 square meters. City Terminal has five berths total length of 1370 m. The depth at the berth - from 9.5 to 11.5 m.

Vice Prime Minister visited the Naval Station and Maritime Gallery. In addition, Borys Kolesnikov was presented the technical capabilities of the terminal and outlined the main achievements and future directions of the Odessa port on the development of cruise business in the port and the Black Sea region as a whole.

Recall that even under difficult economic conditions the number of vessels, which are arriving to the port, is constantly increasing. Only for navigation in 2011 it was visited the port of Odessa 73 cruise liners.

The passenger complex of the port has served 33 lines, four of which new: Iberocruseros, Variety Cruises, Voyages to Antigiuty, Zegrahm &, Eco Expeditions.

During the navigation it was serviced 122 thousand passengers - this is for 6 thousand passengers more than last year.

Next year - Navigation 2012 - returned 73 applications for the entrance of vessels under foreign flags.
