OREANDA-NEWS. November 29, 2011. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company launches an Android-based mobile application for its clients. The application will provide for timely interaction with the insurer using smartphones and communicators based on Android operating system. 

From now on, policy holders have an option to order a car or travel policy any place, inform the insurer about car accidents and receive a detailed guidance for steps to be taken in case of an insurance event while traveling. Also, the application users will have no issues detecting the location of the nearest insurer’s office.

The mobile app will help find Ingosstrakh Insurance Company’s nearest office. The mobile phone will define user’s location using the satellite-based global positioning system and give full contact details on the nearby insurer’s offices. The navigation system will operate both in Moscow and throughout Russia, where the insurer has offices in 221 locations.

Another obvious advantage of the application is the option to order CCLI, motor hull insurance and travel insurance any time and any place. To get reliable insurance protection, the user just needs to enter all the necessary parameters and send a request to the insurer’s contact center or simply order a call-back service. After that, the only thing user needs is to go to the nearest Ingosstrakh Insurance Company’s office or agree upon a meeting with the representative at a convenient time, pay an insurance premium and sign the policy. By installing the mobile application on his or her phone user will stay informed about the company’s latest news and promotions. 

The key function of the new software is to help in difficult situations. The policy holder can remotely inform the company about an insurance event. It is enough to indicate a damaged part on the car model image shown in the app. The mobile assistant will send a request to Ingosstrakh Insurance Company with GPS coordinates of the damaged car. The app will keep the user informed about his or her actions to be taken in case of an insurance event under motor hull insurance or CCLI, and, importantly, in case of issues in a foreign country. The policy holder will get information both about practical steps to be made and about a complete set of documents necessary to settle the insurance event.

“The main goal of this application is to become closer to our clients, keep a constant contact with them and offer timely help in difficult situations. A person can order a call, and our employee will certainly get back. The mobile app will assist even in most tangled situations. It will make troubles less pressing and simplify the insurance process,” says Vadim Yurko, the head of marketing office, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company. 

The new software will be available for all users who own telephones on the basis of Android platform. A similar mobile application will be developed for iOS operating system in the future.
