OREANDA-NEWS. December 1, 2011. November 9, 2011 Turkish Airlines and Domodedovo Airport celebrate the second year of successful cooperation.

“Turkish route remains one of the most popular among Russian tourists and business travelers,” said Igor Borisov, Director of Moscow Domodedovo Airport. “Cooperation with Turkish Airlines allows passengers of Domodedovo airport to have a comfortable trip to the major cities in Turkey by regular flights.”

The flights are carried out on two routes: Ankara (Turkey) - Moscow (Domodedovo) with the frequency of 4 times a week, and Istanbul (Turkey) - Moscow (Domodedovo) 4 times a week.

“We are proud to partner with the largest airport in Russia, that is Domodedovo,” said Mefail Deribas, the General Representative of Turkish Airlines in Russia. “For the past two years we have established a stable and constructive relationship that makes it possible to create the most comfortable environment for our passengers.”

Turkish Airlines is the national carrier of Turkey, a member of the global Star Alliance. The airline operates flights to 190 routes worldwide. The company has 177 aircrafts, including 171 passenger and 6 freight ones. The main base of the airline is International Ataturk Airport (Istanbul). The secondary bases are Esenboga International Airport (Ankara) and Sabiha Gцkзen International Airport (Istanbul). In 2011, according to the Skytrax's survey, Turkish Airlines won the Best Airline of Europe award.
