OREANDA-NEWS. December 2, 2011. Tata Motors’ total sales (including exports) of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles in November 2011 were 76,823 vehicles, higher by 41 per cent over November 2010. The company’s domestic sales of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles for November 2011 were 72,474 vehicles, higher by 44 per cent over 50,419 vehicles, sold in November last year. 

Cumulative sales (including exports) for the company for the fiscal are 544,492 vehicles, a growth of 9 per cent over 499,510 vehicles, sold last year.

Commercial vehicles

The company’s sales of commercial vehicles in November 2011 in the domestic market were 44,737 vehicles, a 28 per cent growth, compared to 35,079 vehicles, sold in November last year. LCV sales were 28,673 vehicles, a growth of 41 per cent, compared to 20,376 vehicles sold in November, last year. M&HCV sales stood at 16,064 vehicles, a growth of 9 per cent, compared to 14,703 vehicles sold in November, last year.

Cumulative sales of commercial vehicles in the domestic market for the fiscal are 361,227 vehicles, a growth of 19 per cent over last year. Cumulative LCV sales are 197,465 vehicles, a growth of 26 per cent over last year, while M&HCV sales stood at 129,120 vehicles, a growth of 10 per cent over last year.

Passenger vehicles

The passenger vehicles business reported a total sale and distribution offtake of 28,774 vehicles (27,737 Tata + 1037 Fiat) in the domestic market in November 2011, higher by 76 per cent compared to 16,363 vehicles (15,340 Tata + 1,023 Fiat) in November last year. Sales of Tata passenger vehicles for November 2011 are at 27,737 vehicles, a growth of 81 per cent over 15,340 vehicles, sold in November last year. Sales of the Tata Nano were 6,401 vehicles, compared to 509 vehicles, sold in November, last year. The Indica range sales were 10,926 vehicles, higher by 91 per cent, over 5,716 vehicles, sold in November, last year. The Indigo range recorded sales of 6,213 vehicles, higher by 3 per cent, over 6,009 vehicles, sold in November, last year. The Sumo / Safari / Aria / Venture range accounted for sales of 4,197 vehicles, a growth of 35 per cent, over 3,106 vehicles, sold in November, last year. 

Jaguar Land Rover sales in India continued their upward trend. 

Cumulative sales and distribution offtake of passenger vehicles in the domestic market for the fiscal are 188,660 vehicles (178,309 Tata + 10,351 Fiat), against 203,921 vehicles (189,010 Tata + 14,911 Fiat) last year, lower by 7 per cent. Cumulative sales of Tata passenger vehicles were 178,309 vehicles, lower by 6 per cent compared to 189,010 vehicles, till November last year. Cumulative sales of the Nano are 39,646 vehicles, lower by 3 per cent compared to 40,976 vehicles, till November last year. Cumulative sales of the Indica range are 63,021 vehicles, lower by 2 per cent. Cumulative sales of the Indigo family are 44,683 vehicles, lower by 23 per cent. Cumulative sales of the Sumo / Safari / Aria range are 30,959 vehicles, higher by 21 per cent.

Exports

The company's sales from exports at 4,349 vehicles in November 2011 are higher by 3 per cent compared to 4,203 vehicles in November last year. The cumulative sales from exports for the fiscal at 39,598 vehicles, are higher by 7 per cent over 36,851 vehicles, in the same period last year.
