OREANDA-NEWS. December 2, 2011. Yesterday, on December 1, the delegation of KNORR-BREMSE AG – one of the largest producers of brake systems for commercial vehicles – visited OJSC KAMAZ.

The delegation included top managers of KNORR-BREMSE led by Klaus Deller, the Member of the Executive Board. The delegation was accompanied by Sergey Kogogin, Director General of OJSC KAMAZ.

In the first place, the foreign guests visited the Russian-German Joint Venture – Knorr-Bremse KAMA, where they saw its manufacturing lines and participated in a conference with Director General of KAMAZ. The participants of the meeting congratulated Knorr-Bremse KAMA on the production of the 500,000th brake. After the event, the delegation visited KAMAZ’s Research and Development Center to examine an experimental-industrial production department.

To add to this, the partners visited another joint venture – CUMMINS KAMA located at the facilities of the engine plant of KAMAZ where the guests were shown a cylinder head manufacturing line, a shop of localization of details for CUMMINS engines, a conveyor and an engine assembly line. At the end, the guests visited the mother assembly conveyor of the automobile plant. Mr. Klaus Deller took a lively interest in the production process and highly appreciated material changes for the better which were had been made during a year from the day of his previous visit. At the end of the visit, the parties held an internal meeting and discussed the issues of their further effective cooperation.
