OREANDA-NEWS. December 5, 2011. Head of EMERCOM of Russia and leader of the regional “United Russia” list and General Director of JSC “SUEK” Vladimir Rashevsky visited Krasnoyarsk CHP-3 where the first power unit is to be constructed by the end of the current year, its installed electric and thermal power equal to 185 MW and 270 Gcal/h accordingly.

The power unit installed will be able to generate up to 1.3 bln kWh of electric energy, planned thermal energy supply amounting to 1.85 mln Gcal annually. The amount of investment in the new power unit construction has exceeded 13 bln RUR.

According to General Director of JSC “SUEK” Vladimir Rashevsky, the new power unit will considerably enhance power supply reliability, reduce the deficit of thermal energy in the Sovetsky District of Krasnoyarsk and enable the city development.

“By implementation of this project Yenisei TGC will not only provide people with energy and create new jobs but also improve the environmental situation,” emphasized Vladimir Rashevsky.

The power unit will be wholly automated, with cutting-edge fuel combustion technology used at the plant; additionally, electric filter will be installed reducing the amount of harmful emissions into the environment.

“Any construction is good, the more so if it is construction of an energy facility. It means taxes, jobs, orders for subcontractor organizations and creation of potential for the region economy development. Another key issue is energy security of the Krasnoyarsk citizens,” noted S. Shoygu.
