OREANDA-NEWS. December 7, 2011. Truck production (including chassis-cabs and light trucks) in Russia rose 44.3% year on year to 172.4 thousand units in January-October 2011, according to ASM Holding analysts’ data. Out of the total production figure, domestic truck output was 151.8 thousand units (up 41.4%), and foreign-brand truck output was 20.7 thousand units (up 75.2%).

Truck sales were up 60.9% on the year to 257.6 thousand units in January-October 2011. Domestic truck sales rose 30.9% to 125.4 thousand units. Locally assembled foreign-brand trucks added 75.9% sales to reach 17.9 thousand units. The fastest growing segment was new-truck imports, which rose by 2.3 times to 101.1 thousand vehicles. Sales of imported used trucks rose by 1.4 times to 13.2 thousand units.
