OREANDA-NEWS. December 7, 2011. Bus production (including minibuses and “work-team buses” on truck chassis) in Russia declined by 0.2% year on year to 35.3 thousand units in the first ten months of 2011, according to ASM Holding analysts’ data. Of the total, output of domestic models was 29.4 thousand vehicles (down 3.9%), while foreign-brand bus output was 5.9 thousand units (up 23.6%).

Bus sales rose 20.8% to 46.1 thousand units in January-October 2011. Domestic bus sales fell by 0.6% to 27.1 thousand vehicles, and locally assembled foreign-brand bus sales rose by 25.1% to 5.7 thousand vehicles. The highest sales growth rates are noted in the segments of imported buses. New imports rose twice to 10.3 thousand buses, and used imports rose still more – by 2.6 times to 2.9 thousand buses.
