OREANDA-NEWS. December 8, 2011. Reliance Infrastructure Limited (RInfra), one of the largest infrastructure player and an integrated power distribution company, has been awarded prestigious National Award for Innovative Training Practices for the year 2011.

The prestigious award recognizes the adaptation of innovative training practices for the development of Human Resource at RInfra, in supporting and driving business success through significant change and restructuring.

RInfra was voted for this award by an eminent panel of jury consisting of Dr. S. Venkataraman (Vice President - HR, DELPHI - TVS), Prof. Radha Sharma (Professor, OB & HRD, MDI Gurgaon), Mr. P. Varshney (Sr. Vice President, PTC India Limited), Mr. U.K. Dikshit (Director - Programmes, SCOPE), Dr. M.S. Rau (Executive Director, ISTD), and as such is a great accolade.

The award is instituted by the Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD), which is engaged in the area of promoting Training & Development and evolving and developing improved and effective HRD/Training practices. ISTD is affiliated to International Federation of Training & Development Organisations (IFTDO), USA and Asian Regional Training and Development Organisations (ARTDO), Manila

RInfra was voted for the award after stringent evaluation of 23 applications, including Tata Tele Services, Ultratech Cement, Cairns India Ltd, HSBC, Tata Motors, NTPC, RIL Nagothane etc.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Lalit Jalan, CEO and Director, Reliance Infrastructure said, "We are honored to win the National Award for Innovative Training Practices.
