Baosteel donated 2 million RMB to support charity project "House Modification for Aged People" which is aiming to help nearly hundred aged people to improve house living condition. This is also one of the charity activities named " Deep Love under Blue Sky", reported the press-centre of Baosteel.

Last year under the support and care of Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau, Shanghai Aged People Fund and Habitat for Humanity signed agreement to invest together in Shanghai to push forward charity project "house modification for aged people". The project is planning to make the modified house more safe, practical, comfortable, and helpful to physical and mental health of aged people by changing device, increasing function, optimizing structure and making the environment beautiful, etc.

Under assistance of sub-fund of aged people fund in each district and county, Habitat for Humanity insisted on running the project under regulation to ensure that agreement singing, defining of families needing help, construction plan making, project capital raising, volunteer activities and so on can be pushed forward in a full way to let limited capital play more important role. Modification for 43 beneficiary families has already finished in one year.

It is said Baosteel has donated RMB 2 million each year for difficult aged people via Shanghai aged people fund in consecutive 4 years since 2007. Activity of supporting "Ten Thousand Shanghai Aged People touring EXPO" was praised popularly.
