OREANDA-NEWS. December 12, 2011. At the end of November 2011 the collection of scientific reports “Genealogy as a source of preservation of the cultural traditions of the peoples of Mordovia” was presented, which was published with Novikombank’s financial support. The book is a collection of materials from the inter-regional academic research conference, held in April 2011 in Saransk.

The event was attended by representatives of the national and cultural autonomies of the Mordovians of Moscow and the Moscow region, the Moscow inter-regional community of Mordovians, historians, museum workers, libraries, educational and cultural institutions (Chernov O.V, Tultaev A.V, Sedova, N.V, Kalyakin V.V etc).

At the presentation of the collection of scientific reports, the Executive Director of the social movement of the Mordovian (Moksha, Erzya) people, Karpov I.I, a doctor of historical sciences and professor Zavaryuhin N.V, the Director of the history and art museum in the Mytishchinskiy district of the Moscow Region, Klychnikova M.A, and the historian Radov I.A all made a speech.

Preserving the cultural and historical heritage of the country is one of the priorities for Novikombank’s charitable work.

Novikombank’s participation in this event is another step in its support of the “Genealogy” project, which brings together interested and concerned people to draw up the family tree of people who lived in the same villages and farms. By providing support to communities in Russian villages young people and schools were engaged, and local people were brought together to rejuvenate churches and communities.
