OREANDA-NEWS. December 13, 2011. A new industrial facility was put into operation at the Turkmenbashi oil refineries (TKNPZ). It is a plant producing polypropylene box type valve bags built at the request of the Turkmenbashi oil refineries by Venanko AG (Switzerland) in collaboration with Turkmen specialists.

The one-storey building of the polypropylene bags producing plant looks like a light industry facility at the backdrop of the TKNPZ petrochemical plants. The design and trade names of equipment and devices manufactured by the European leading producers, including Austrian Starlinger, installed there are similar to those installed at modern textile factories but have a considerable difference: they make products from synthetic polymer produced at the Turkmenbashi oil refineries. Their major attributes are the receiving bunker loaded with granular polypropylene, mixer, extruder, and other specialized units which link the plant producing polymer bags with the polypropylene plant of the Turkmenbashi oil refineries.

The new facility with the complete production cycle and non-waste technologies is built under the oil and gas industry development programme aimed at increasing the manufacture of high-value products. It will produce 25,000 0.9 m3 bags and 10 million 0.25 m3 box type valve bags each year from polypropylene manufactured at the TKNPZ. This amount will satisfy the demand of the petrochemical plants in modern packing meeting international standards and allow selling high-strength environmentally friendly bags on the domestic and foreign markets.
