In the course of discussion of Russian–Greek cooperation, the parties noted with satisfaction the realization of the contracts for the construction of the Nea Messambria compressor station and gas pipeline branch to Halkida, performed by Stroytransgaz.

The attendees expressed their interest in the further strengthening of mutual cooperation, particularly in the power-generating sector.

Additional information:
Stroytransgaz’ activity in the field of gas industry facilities construction in Greece is based on the intergovernmental documents signed between the Russian Federation and the Greek Republic.

In 1994-2000 Stroytransgaz constructed six high pressure gas pipeline branches with total length of 446 km. In 2004 the construction of the Komotini–Alexandroupolis high-pressure gas pipeline, which connected Greek and Turkish gas-transport systems, was accomplished. Thanks to this, Greece has obtained a new natural gas supply channel.

At present Stroytransgaz performs in Greece construction projects of the m.p. gas distribution network in the area of B. Halkis, and  the Nea Messambria compressor station in the vicinity of Thessaloniki.
