OREANDA-NEWS. December 14, 2011. The cities of Kuznetsovsk and Fastiv have joined the Kyivstar broadband Internet network. Now the operator provides the "Home Internet" service in 78 cities of Ukraine.

Each week "Kyivstar" expands its broadband Internet network (on the basis of the FTTB technology) технологии FTTB. Of late two cities, Kuznetsovsk and Fastiv, have joined the network. At present the "Home Internet" service from Kyivstar is already available in 78 cities of Ukraine.

In Kuznetsovsk, a city of the Rivne Oblast, 47 residential buildings in the Varash micro district have been connected to the Kyivstar FTTB network. Thus, 5 thousand families got a chance to use ultra high-speed "Home Internet".

In Fastiv, a city of the Kyiv Oblast, 104 multi-apartment buildings have been connected. Thus, 11 thousand families residing in such streets as Tarasa Shevchenka, Semena Paliia, Soborna, Sadova, Internatsionalna, Lva Tolstoho, Maksyma Horkoho, Kirova and Krasnoarmiiska have now a possibility to take advantage of using high speed "Home Internet".

Kyivstar offers the residents of Kuznetsovsk and Fastiv (unlimited rate plans) безлимитные тарифные предложения from 55 UAH a month. In all the cities a unique offer "Internet pays for mobile communications" is in effect: money spent on the "Home Internet" can be used for mobile communications services.

Kuznetsovsk was founded in 1973 on the place of an ancient village on the bank of river Styr as a satellite city of the Rivne nuclear power plant. Now its population accounts for 41.1 thousand residents.

Fastiv is a city with a rich history; it was mentioned for the first time in 1390. On the territory of the city there are numerous historical monuments and museums, in particular, a wooden church from the ХVIII century. At present it is a large railway junction. The city has a population of 50.2 thousand people.

Altogether, to this date the Kyivstar broadband Internet is available in 78 cities of Ukraine, for more than 3 million households.

Kyivstar is actively expanding fiber optic network in order to provide high speed Internet of the European level to the population of Ukraine.
