OREANDA-NEWS. December 14, 2011. UTair Aviation, according to the Transport Clearing House, in the first ten month of 2011 UTair has moved into position among the top three passenger airlines in Russia by volume of passengers transported on international and domestic routes.

UTair Group, consisting of UTair Aviation (Russia), UTair Express (Russia), UTair-Ukraine (Ukraine), UTair-Cargo (Russia), Turukhan (Russia), Nefteyugansk (Russia), Helisur (Peru), UTair Europe s.r.o. (Slovakia), UTair South Africa Ltd (RSA) and UTair India continues to show significant growth.

In the January-October period the Group’s fixed wing and rotorcraft fleets transported 6,206,270 passengers, a YoY increase of 27.7%.  Industry average growth stands at 12.2%.

In the period from January to October 2011, passenger turnover constituted 10,119,094.3 PKM, an increase of 33.8% over same period in 2010.

In total, the Group’s fixed wing aircraft logged 210,062 flight hours, 21.8% more than for the same period last year. The Group’s aircraft delivered 15,031.3 tons of cargo, 21.4% more than for the same period in 2010 and 3,967.9 tons of mail, 29.7% more than for the same period in 2010.

UTair Group helicopters logged a total of 117,274 flight hours, 13.4% more than for the same reporting period last year. UTair helicopters transported 127,177.4 tons of cargo, an increase of 6.5%.
