OREANDA-NEWS. December 16, 2011. Ukio bankas will apply special rates to all new private clients. Payment of utility bills (gas, water, electricity or heating) will be fee-free at Ukio bankas units when paying from a bank or payment card account or paying in cash at the bank's cash-offices, reported the press-centre of Ukio bankas.

Apart from that, Ukio bankas will execute fee-free local transfers in litas for these clients using the Internet banking system Eta bankas and will not apply the administration fee for transfers to accounts received from accounts with other banks registered in the Republic of Lithuania.

Furthermore, from 12 December Ukio bankas will issue fee-free basic payment cards Maestro/ Visa Electron to new clients. Service fees for cash withdrawal from a bank account in any currency will be reduced in half, i.e. up to 0.3 per cent without applying the minimum amount of this fee.

As maintained by Justas Babarskas, the Head of Ukio bankas Commerce Division, such solutions will allow the clients to more conveniently and effectively handle their finance and will make banking services yet more attractive.

‘Ukio bankas offers one of the best prices on the market. In addition, the bank always takes into account the needs and situation of individual social groups. For instance, Ukio bankas does not apply fees for the withdrawals of pensions, allowances, other social payments, also – expired time deposits and interest on them (up to 30 days from the expiry of the deposit term) and offers a number of other advantages. Now we are making another step forward in improving client service by providing value added services to them,’ Mr Babarskas said.

The special fees for new private clients will be applicable until 28 February of the next year. A zero fee for utility bill payment will always apply at Ukio bankas to both the existing and new clients when making payments via the Internet banking system Eta bankas.
