OREANDA-NEWS. December 20, 2011. TNK-BP held a meeting of its Central Council for Interaction with Suppliers and Contractors with a new topical format dedicated to a concrete group of issues. Representatives of all streams of TNK-BP and 10 largest contractors of the company in the Central Federal District and North-West Federal District focused their attention on issues related to production and acquisition of additives and chemicals, the annual supplies of which run into approximately USD 200 million, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

The meeting addressed a wide range of issues from contracting deadlines technical parameters of supplies to support of Russian producers. With annual supplies of approximately 180 billion rubles, TNK-BP consistently raises the standards of its interaction with contractors and suppliers, which improves the performance of the company, amends the business environment in the country, and facilitates the dialog between business and authorities. Amir Feizulin, First Deputy Executive Vice President, Downstream, TNK-BP said: “Our experience demonstrates that joint efforts with our contractors and suppliers help us solve highly complex and difficult problems. I am sure that we will succeed in making our work efficient and transparent as much as possible.”

At the meeting, the suppliers and contractors were also informed on the work of conflict resolution commissions. Since its inception in December 2010, the conflict resolution commissions of TNK-BP handled 67 complaints. In 30 cases, the complaints of suppliers and contractors were acknowledged valid and well-founded and corresponding measures were taken, including revision of the tender results or repeated organization of tenders.

According to the participants of the meeting, the new approach implying consideration and discussion of one concrete segment of company activities allows development of more detailed and substantial recommendations for all participants of the process.
