OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2011. Munich hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Horst Seehofer, Bavarian Prime Minister.

The parties signed a Roadmap for cooperation in power generation and gas supply.
The document sets out the intentions of Gazprom and the Federal State of Bavaria to cooperate on power production in Bavaria. In particular, the parties agreed to identify the promising projects for gas-fired power plants and to create conditions for their implementation as well as to promote gas-fired power production in general.

Further efforts within the Roadmap were defined as a result of the meeting.
Background

The Federal State of Bavaria and Gazprom signed the Roadmap for cooperation in power generation and gas supply on the basis of the agreements reached during the meeting between Alexey Miller and Horst Seehofer on September 23, 2011.

Bavaria is the largest of 16 German Federal States. It has the highest economic and scientific potential, and shows the best economic growth. Machine building, electrical engineering, power generation and chemical sectors are Bavaria's most developed industries.
