OREANDA-NEWS. December 22, 2011. Due to the scheduled outages in the pan-European clearing system during holidays we advise our customers to pay attention to the term of executing payments and also the speed of routing the payments.

Domestic payments

Domestic interbank payments in euro will be processed as usual on 23 December and 30 December 2011. Domestic interbank payments will not be settled on 26 December 2011.

International payments

Since working day 23 December is shorter because of the holidays, we advise you to pay attention to the following deadlines regarding international payments:

Express payments and urgent payments received before 11 am will be accepted for execution on the same day (the value date of express payments will be the current settlement day, i.e. 23 December 2011; the value date of urgent payments will be the next settlement day, i.e. 27 December 2011);

One settlement day will be added to the value date of the express payments and urgent payments accepted by the bank after 11 am (the value date will be accordingly 27 and 28 December)

Normal non-urgent euro payments made on 22 December will be sent with value date 27 December as the pan-European clearing system will be closed on 26 December because of the holidays.

The exact time of delivery of international payments depends on the country of the beneficiary and the bank that mediates the payment.
