OREANDA-NEWS. December 22, 2011. Belarus’ republican budget surplus is expected at 0.7% of the GDP at year-end 2011, Vice Premier Sergei Rumas told a joint session of Belarus’ parliament.

Referring to the government’s forecast for 2012, the vice premier emphasized it would be a zero-deficit budget plan.

As previously reported, Belarus’ Finance Ministry posted a republican budget surplus of 2.1 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) (U.S. USD 244.2 million at the NBB rate) in January-September 2011, or 1.1% of GDP.
